Princess Diana remembered on the 25th anniversary of her death

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess Of Wales.

Diana died on Sunday, August 31 1997, when she was aged just 36. She was survived by her two sons

Diana sadly died from her injuries hours later at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.

The tragic passing of the People’s Princess sparked an outpouring of public grief in the UK and around the globe.

Diana was reportedly laid to rest in the centre of The Oval lake. Her grave is not publicly accessible,

The burial took place privately, after a public funeral on Saturday, September 6 1997.
